Doha, Qatar: Taking place at one of the most luxurious palace in the Pearl - Qatar, Alfardan Automobiles put on a weekend of driving pleasure and opulence from the 11st to 14th January. The event gave BMW customers and aficionados the opportunity to test drive the flagship model of the brand, the BMW 7 Series with a choice of all three variants the 730Li, 740Li and 750 Li X Drive.

This four day event has been designed to give them the opportunity to experience the very best in automotive luxury, with the ability to drive around the city to immerse themselves with the car and the host of technologies it has to offer while experiencing what can only be described as true driving pleasure.”

The main attraction of the event, the BMW 7 Series, brings with it a host of new features prove that personalised innovation is as crucial as design and ambience. BMW ConnectedDrive driver assistance features, including the intuitive Touch Command: a 7-inch tablet positioned in the rear of the vehicle, offers passengers a completely new experience in controlling multiple in-car functions. Touch Command also allows rear passengers the ability to control in-car infotainment while comfort features, such as the new BMW 7 Series Vitality Programme, offers luxurious in-seat massage options. A unique Gesture Control function, which offers those inside the vehicle with the option to increase the volume of the radio only by gesturing at the screen, is also one of the new technology features.

Drivers and passengers alike can also look forward to the BMW 7 Series’ Sky Lounge, a panorama glass roof welcoming them to enjoy the day or star-filled night sky, as illuminated light patterns provide a luxurious interior light ambience in six colours.

Exuding confidence and power, the BMW 7 Series features two comprehensively revised engines: the 6 cylinder 740iLi and 8 cylinder 750iLi xDrive - the latter accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds at 450 hp, and the 6 cylinder equivalent, offering an impressive 326hp, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1380 rpm. BMW EfficientDynamics, such as the premium vehicle’s lightweight Carbon Core, further enhances the on-road performance of both variants as it ensures that the car is 130kg lighter than its predecessor.

Also present during the event was the BMW 730 Li is equipped with TwinPower Turbo technology to provide dynamic performance and low fuel consumption. The four-cylinder in-line engine comes with two-litre, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds with a maximum torque of 400 Nm.
